Joshua came up through line-dance nights, clubs, weddings, company events, and the kind of parties where reading the room matters more than arriving with one fixed playlist.
He is the builder behind Southern Roots. That means the music and production, but also the contracts, systems, website, photography, video, and all the unglamorous details that keep an event from feeling improvised.
He cares about the whole experience: what guests notice first, where the energy drops, what needs to happen next, and how the night will be remembered after the equipment is packed away.

Stephen is the voice in the room. He has spent years behind the booth and on the microphone at weddings, parties, trivia nights, karaoke, and the events where a host has to know when to lift the energy and when to get out of the way.
He is often the first person a client really gets to know. He listens for what they care about, keeps the conversation easy, and turns a loose idea into something the team can actually run.
On event night, that same instinct helps him make a packed room feel personal. People do not need to be told to have fun when the host has already made them comfortable enough to join in.

DJ VIBEZ brings a wide-ranging taste in music and a real eagerness to learn to Southern Roots Media & Entertainment. He loves discovering new sounds, but he also appreciates the songs that connect with generations before his own. His goal is to bring those tastes together and give everyone a reason to join the dance floor.
He's been learning hands-on alongside his father, DJ Seamless, a co-owner of SRME. That training has helped him sharpen his mixing, read the crowd, and understand the work that goes into keeping an event running smoothly. He takes that responsibility seriously. For him, preparation starts with listening to the client: what music they love, what matters most to them, and how they want their celebration to feel.
Outside the booth, he's into cars, working out, and sports. He enjoys learning new things, and he's putting that curiosity to work as he develops his own style as a DJ. He brings enthusiasm to each event, shows up prepared, and stays focused on helping clients and their guests have a great time.
We believe people remember how a night felt before they remember the timeline. That feeling comes from hundreds of small choices: the song that lands at the right second, a microphone that simply works, a host who can make strangers feel welcome, and lighting that changes the room without swallowing it.
We ask questions because the answer changes the work. A wedding does not move like a company party. A karaoke crowd is not a trivia crowd. Your family, your coworkers, and your friends all need a different invitation to join in.
